Mid-Atlantic bloom time: June - October
Shrubby St. John's-wort gets its species epithet and common names from the "prolific" number of stamens each flower has, giving its flowers a shrubby appearance. Its flowers have five golden yellow petals, and occur in terminal cymes of usually 3–7 flowers. Its leaves are 3–7 cm long and are narrowly oblong.
