Family: Onagraceae (Evening-primrose family)

Mid-Atlantic bloom time: May - September

Floating Primrose-willow is a perennial plant found in freshwater tidal marshes and other areas intermittently exposed to or flooded with water. It sprawls flat along the mud or water's surface. In addition to its seeds, it can also propagate from stem fragments or rhizomes that break off.

Floating Primrose-willow is not a native to Europe, where it has become invasive.
