Like all of the species in the genus Micranthes, Swamp Saxifrage has basal leaves, with flowers borne in clusters on the top of leafless stems. It's flower petals lack yellow spots, but may have a yellow tinge. It's leaves have smooth or slightly toothed, 5-35cm long, and have conspicuous midribs. Swamp Saxifrage typically grows in forested seeps and seepage swamps.
