Family: Plantaginaceae (Plantain family)

Mid-Atlantic bloom time: March - June

Corn Speedwell's stems are erect to almost recumbent, and the plant is hairy throughout. Its lower leaves are ovate to oval, conspicuously palmately veined, serrate or crenate, and have short petioles. Its sessile upper leaves are more lanceolate or linear. Corn Speedwell's tiny pale blue to blue-violet flowers are borne on terminal racemes or solitary in upper leaves.
